“Not material” by smw is an exploration of value in hybrid realities. As a performative mirror, it underlines that the most valuable things are rooted in human emotions. How realistic can a market value be in relation to personal emotions and a piece of art? -> NFT publication as part of a university project with Anika Meier -> smw exchanges his face in this deepfake video with 23 AI-generated faces, each devoid of real emotions, morphing into all conceivable expressions based on the viewer's feelings. Just like diverse emotional responses, the nature of value is fluid and dynamic. Similar to the ever-changing expressions of the deep fake faces, value constantly calls for its reinterpretation. -> Represented as an experiment, where the evaluation and the payment are relinquished to the market, the NFTs are offered for free, with royalties set at 25%. -> Feel the value, purchase it, trade it, and pass it on for free!
