Two cassette recorders engage in a dialogue about care work in the hospice. -> The analog technology provides an intimate sense of closeness and transience. Each recorder is assigned to a person from the podcast "Hospiz" by Evelin Gander, published on dolomitenstadt.at. -> The recordings give the spinning object called magnetic dialogue, a sense of humanity and the roughness of the magnetic tapes creates a kind of ritualistic representation. -> While digital technologies often feel more distant, the use of cassette recorders fosters a more familiar, "hands-on" connection, especially through the podcast’s free and personal approach. -> Realized in 2022 in Vienna.
